March Wedding at the Museum
A Wedding on Saint Patrick's Day weekend at the Museum featured many Irish touches as the bride and groom danced to the music provided by Ted Crowder of Atlanta Bands and DJ's. He lit up the gallery with purple lighting to complement the bride's gold and purple theme. Carriage House Catering provided the delicious food complete with a carving station and cake from Perfect Wedding Cakes by Ramona. The Marietta Trolley carried the wedding party and guests from the church to the museum and to their hotel. Sherri Chisholm along with the Plant Peddler lit up the front steps with ficus trees and votive lights. The fabulous art on the walls of the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art made a wonderful backdrop for the wedding and provided the guests an additional show during the reception.

Sweet June Wedding
A sweet wedding on a hot June day provided family and friends a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the coolness of the Sanctuary at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. Laurens created a stunning visual colonnade at the front of the church for the ceremony. A wonderful reception at Indian Hills Country Club followed. The bride and groom had photos on the golf course after the ceremony. Since no high heels are allowed on the putting greens, the groom carried his bride across the green! The beautiful cakes were provided by McEntyre's Bakery of Smyrna.

Another great wedding at the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art occurred in May. This wonderful old building used to be a post office, then a library, and is now an art museum for American Art. The couple in this May wedding chose to have their ceremony at the Strand Theater and photos in the Marietta Square. The reception was held in the art museum. One feature of the reception was a very old typewriter set up to allow guests to type good luck messages to the bride and groom. It was great fun watching young guests try to figure out how to use the old typewriter. The beautiful cake came from Perfect Wedding Cake and the catering was from Carriage House Catering.

Marietta Cobb Museum of Art hosts April wedding

The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art was the venue for the recent wedding of Whitney and Jon. The ebullient bride looked gorgeous in a gown with layers of satin. Her bridesmaids were in a coral pink that popped in the 100 year old building for the reception. A candy table greeted the guests in this sweet wedding and the beautiful cake by Perfect Wedding Cakes and food from Carriage House Catering filled the guests completely. The bride and groom designed a sign that will be hung in their home, reminding them of the day.
